About Me

Crystal Elaine Hilton is a Creative Producer from Brooklyn, NY, and the founder of Brooklyn Wannabes, a production company based on the East Coast. With an MFA in Film Production, she’s passionate about creating stories that connect with audiences on a personal level.

Last year, she completed post-production for her debut film Ebb & Flo, a poetic experimental piece about a group of directionless young adults who lose themselves at a house party. It was an incredible project that gave Crystal a wealth of insight as both a producer and director, which she’s now applying to her next big film, Schrödinger’s Pussy. This will be her first real dialogue-heavy film, exploring the complex emotions of a college athlete who, after her first sexual experience, grapples with doubts about her future. Turning to a philosophical thought experiment on quantum superposition, she begins to question her reality and the expectations of those around her.

This year, Crystal is focusing on putting the pencil down and stepping behind the camera again. She is directing a handful of micro shorts she’s written, exploring genres like horror, sci-fi, and comedy, while keeping her poetic and experimental style. She is also producing two upcoming short films by amazing creatives that she is excited to see come to life.
